The M8300 Railroad track scales are designed for weighing of rail cars or car trucks while they are motionless. They are used for material accounting.

The M8300 scales conform to requirements of OIML Recommendation R76.

The М8300 scales consist of a scale platform and a weighing indicator. A scale platform configuration depends on a type of cars to be weighed. The scale can be custom-made for any combination of car lengths. Weighbridge sections are fitted with compression type load cells that fit into the existing rail. Load cells turn applied mechanical force into an electronic signal. The electronic signals from all of the load cells are sent out to junction boxes. Junction boxes sum all of the signals into one signal so that the signal can be read by an indicator. The indicator tells the result of the weighing. Platform sections are set on a concrete bottom. Weighbridge sections can be filled with concrete for specific model scales. There are the height-adjustible access sections at either end of the scale platform.
